SAN ANTONIO - Three months after a fire destroyed its restaurant, Chris Madrid's is back with a temporary location while the original building is repaired.

If you are having Cheddar Cheezy burger withdrawals, you can stop by Hollywood and Blanco Saturday, between 11-10 p.m. The Chris Madrid's food truck was open until 4 p.m. Friday to test everything out.

The restaurant is "trying out a few new systems," a post to its Facebook page said.

Richard Peacock, owner of Chris Madrid's, said the main restaurant would re-open in late spring 2018 "at the earliest" in an earlier Facebook post.
