Blood drive set for Tuesday to help Sutherland Springs wounded
SAN ANTONIO - A blood drive to help those wounded in the church shooting in Sutherland Springs is set for Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. in front of San Antonio City Hall.
The drive, organized by the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center, said it responded to blood needs at several hospitals that treated patients, including University Hospital, San Antonio Military Medical Center and Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville.
All donors will need to have a photo ID. Anyone who is 16 years old and weighs at least 120 pounds (with parental consent form), or 17 years old and weighs at least 110 pounds and is in good general health may donate blood.
