Baptist Health System celebrates 'Heart Alert' program anniversary
SAN ANTONIO - Baptist Health System celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Heart Alert program today.
First responders were honored with a ceremony on Friday to thank them for the care they provide. EMS crews, physicians and other team members were all part of the celebration.
Baptist was the first health system in Texas to implement "Heart Alert" protocols, which provide an improved level of care for patients suffering a heart attack.
A Heart Alert award was presented to Southwest Texas Regional Advisory Council for helping implement and expand the program.
