SAN ANTONIO -- Police are searching for a bank robber who stopped to clean up before taking off with some stolen cash.

Investigators say the man walked into the Chase Bank at 912 Kitty Hawk Road in Universal City on January 26th and handed a teller a note. Before leaving with the $3,500 he got from the teller, he cleaned the counter and door handles with a disinfectant wipe. He then took off on foot toward the back of the bank to the parking lot of HEB, where he had parked his silver Jeep Liberty.

The suspect was described as a White or Hispanic male with an “accent,” who is approximately 5’9”-5’10” tall and has a medium build.
