5-year-old Sutherland Springs church shooting victim wants Christmas Cards
Ryland Ward was repeatedly shot in the tragedy that occurred in a Sutherland Springs church.
The 5-year-old boy survived the tragedy, but suffered a shattered femur and kidney damage, among other injuries. He is expected to be in the hospital for at least 6 more weeks.
For this holidays, Ryland wants Christmas Cards. In a Facebook post, the Jourdanton Police Department says Ryland and his grandmother read the cards together. They also say his arm is recovering to the point that he can open some of them on his own.
The Jourdanton Police Department staff sent Ryland a package stuffed with cards, letters and a bunch of JPD swag.
