Kitchen Cops: The winning streak for San Antonio restaurants continues
SAN ANTONIO —
The winning streak for San Antonio restaurants continues: Four weeks now without a single restaurant failing its health inspection. So once again we focus on the Blue Plate winner for a perfect score.
Casa De Rosa Cafe Captures Blue Plate Award
This week News 4 San Antonio's Blue Plate Award for getting a perfect 100 score goes to Casa de Rosa Cafe located at 1120 Basse Road .
In a city with a lot of great Mexican options, this place stands out. Customers rave about the brisket tacos and charro beans. Casa de Rosa is only open for breakfast and lunch.
"Mole enchiladas are very popular and green enchiladas. Tuesdays is crispy taco and meatloaf. We are back to selling meatloaf that is very unusual for a Mexican restaurant but we sell a lot of those," said Rosa Calzada, the restaurant owner.
"So it's really been fun all these 13 years that we been here we usually get good scores but this is the first time we get the award. We really appreciate it," Rosa said.
