Local Mexican restaurant passes with lowest possible score

A local Mexican restaurant passes its latest inspection, but with the lowest score possible. While a new breakfast restaurant earns a perfect score. All in this week's Kitchen Cops.
Tortilleria Olivarez scores 70 on health inspection
Mexican restaurant Tortilleria Olivarez, 1125 Gen McMullen South, scored a 70 on their latest health inspection. Several violations were found, including:
- Dishes and food containers not being properly sanitized
- A leak on the hot water heater supply line
- Sugar ants crawling on and around tables
- Rodent-like pellets from the floor area and equipment
Snooze an A.M. Eatery awarded Blue Plate
This week we awarded our Blue Plate to a brand new breakfast diner; Snooze an A.M. Eatery, East Basse Road Suite #160, at the Quarry Market. This unique breakfast spot has only been open for a month. It is equipped with a full bar, games and a patio to dine. Their signature plates include “Sandwich I Am”, “OMG French Toast” and “Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes.” The guests at Snooze are just as excited as the employees to receive this Blue Plate!
