Warm cooler gets steak house in hot water with the health inspector
SAN ANTONIO - Beef and Bourbons Steak House , on 4946 Rigsby Ave, scored at 66 on its latest inspection conducted by the Metro Health department. Any score below 70 is considering failing. Health inspectors found several violations including:
- An employee handling buns with his bare hands, those buns were thrown out
- Accumulated food and debris were found in equipment and under the grill
- Raw meats were stored too close to ready-to-eat-foods
- And the reach-in-cooler that should be below 41 degrees was 60, leading to raw meat, enchilada gravy and rolled enchiladas to be thrown away
