Every Saturday and Sunday people gather at the Pearl Farmers Market for music, fresh produce, good food, and yummy treats like pretzels, barkin' apple bacon, and chicken bone broth. These of course, treats for your four legged furry friends.

"I do this because I also really love animals and I love being able to give them something nutritious," said Alexis Quiroga. She's the woman behind PAWsitively Sweet Bakery.

"PAWsitively Sweet Bakery is a local San Antonio dog bakery where we make all natural treats made with fresh fruits, vegetables and meats. We locally source all our ingredients so it's nutritious and delicious for dogs," explained Alexis.

She started this three years ago and loves what she does. It all came to her in high school.

"I was trying to figure out what I want to do with life. My mom told me that you have to do what you're passionate about and I absolutely love animals ever since I was young. One of my very first words was kitty. I'm pretty sure I said kitty before mom. And then I love to bake. So I combined my two passions together and that's where I started a dog bakery," said Alexis.

But not only is she making nutricious treats and food for dogs, she also helps the local rescue organizations in town.

"Part of my business I've always wanted it to be some sort of community give back for the animal community because there's so many homeless animals and I totally want to help change that in anyway... we do little community give back fundraisers for animal rescue efforts so we can help out and that's our way of giving back," she explained.

Hilary Debow is a regular and said, "I think it's a great business. Alexis is doing a great job and it's just nice to see a family run business trying to help animals and do what they can."

Alexis even has fans!

"I do have doggie fans. She's one of my biggest ones her name is Khaleesi," said Alexis.

"My dog loves it. She knows the owner. She loves the owner. She loves everything that she's tried so far. Her favorite is the banana treat. She's also tried their new chicken broth which is a meal and she loves that as well. And we love it. And it's healthy. There's no extra stuff hidden in there," explained Hilary.

You could say, Khaleesi gives PAWsitively Sweet Bakery, two paws up!
