Texas House Race - District 120: Art Hall
SAN ANTONIO - Six people are running to represent District 120 in the Texas House of Representatives.
One of those six is Art Hall. If his name sounds familiar, it's because he's a former San Antonio city councilman.
Hall, a Harvard-educated lawyer, says he wants to carry on the legacy that State Representative Ruth Jones McClendon, who currently holds the seat, is leaving behind.
"I'd also like to bring my experience as a previous city councilman in District 8, where I was a Democrat in a highly Republican area and was able to not only get elected," said Hall. "But also reelected across party lines to bring people together to make good decisions for the city of San Antonio."
If elected, Hall says he will focus on three key issues: economic development, education and fair justice. He says he wants to make sure police are held accountable for their actions and that people who are falsely imprisoned be compensated for the time taken from them.
